I'm in the same situation as you. Just follow Jesus the best you can. Maybe you can find others who do the same, but if not, just do your best. There's no perfect church; you probably have to find one that will treat you and your views with respect.

Where else to go.I sticking up for the WTS.
by joe134cd innow i am going to do a rear thing here and i am going to stick up for the wts.
i realise that the wts hasn't got the best of track record, and sure they have made mistakes.
but if i was to go to another church wouldn't they still have the same issues.

I'M SERIOUS!!!! If you eat cupcakes you will die at the Big "A"
by Gojira_101 ini was just doing dishes not really thinking about anything in particular, and all of a sudden this experience came flooding back and i started crying.. a few years ago i went back to one of the states i lived in to see/visit my friends (before i learned ttatt, i was still a happy borg at this time).. the friends i were staying with had two young girls, one was 3rd grade and the other was preschool.
so one day the father comes home after picking up the older girl (i think she was 7, 8...i'm not sure exactly this was several years ago) and she was all red and looked like she had been crying.
i noticed she had some blue at the corner of her mouth.

That's messed up. Fanatics. That poor kid will forever have morbid fears of being killed by God.

Another elder came and told me I'm not an apostate and no-one can judge me.
by Julia Orwell ini'll call him bear, like teddy bear because he's big and nice.
bear's the coboe, an intelligent but jittery man who suffers from a host of anxiety disorders.
he 'just happened' to be driving down my street after the group, and 'just happened' to notice i was at home, tending to some animals.

Yes, I do think they could be trying to 'smoke me out' but I don't know how stupid they think I am. They're also trying to work on hubby: the elder who studied with him about 4 years ago calls him every weekend since he's been missing the meetings.

by Julia Orwell inbeen thinking for some years now the reasoning book is hopelessly outdated, what with all the changes they keep making and that.
do you think one will come out this year or next?

Outside. My husband was in the house, and Bear happened upon me when I was in my aviary, which is,in street view. Funny thing, Bear was nervous as hell when he came, so i invited him into the aviary and had him look at my birds and pat them to calm him down!
Someone mentioned a couple of comments above that maybe his anxiety and fear of the platform is how cognitive dissonance manifests itself. I reckon my depression and physical Symptoms came about from c d because now it's resolved my health has improved out of sight! I'm sure many of you have also experienced that.

He is. Very ill, freaks out every time he has to go on the platform. You see him standing at the back of the hall before he goes up, puffing like a bellows and psyching himself up. Constantly exposing yourself to a stressor in that manner can't be good for you.
And I don't know who to trust anymore. Ttatt can be a lonely place.

The JW life is good!
by Julia Orwell infor some people.
i think of the old man who has no family and lives in a nursing home, and the only time he gets out is when he's picked up for the meetings.
he lives solely for that.. or people who love routine and busy-ness, people who need to be led.. george orwell wrote that the party is best able to impose its worldview on those least likely to understand what it is that's being asked of them: orthodoxy is unconsciousness.. i believe a lot of jws swallow the party line and it passes through them unharmed, like a seed pooped out by a bird.

Maybe they did look for the literature, and found none.

Wow good response! That 'victim' mentality used to get to me even when I was a JW. People would moan about how Satan was putting the thumb screws on them, and I'd think that it was all really a matter of perspective, and from then on, I decided I wouldn't blame Satan if things got bad for me.
Funny about the nasty killer god, Black Sheep. The elder who came to me yesterday assured me that my mum wouldn't die at A, and no one could judge, and where on earth did I even get that idea? And I said, "I got the WT CD right here, and I can pull up quotes right now that say only JWs are going to live." Yep, even some JWs are blind to that dirty secret. Now when I meet people and tell them about JW beliefs, I tell them right out that they believe God's going to kill everyone not JW. Saves them having to have a Bible Study for months to figure it out...
Can I count that as time?

I believe a lot of JWs swallow the party line and it passes through them unharmed, like a seed pooped out by a bird. I know quite a chickens who are in there because it's all they've ever known, and live pretty much the same as everyone else, just going to meetings twice a week and placing the odd magazine.
So being a JW isn't all bad for all people. But I'd recommend it like a gunshot to the head to cure OCD!
What were some things you did enjoy? What didn't you...
